President Uhuru yesterday held talks with Sudan President Omar al Bashir in Khartoum. Uhuru made a stopover in the Sudan capital on his way to Turkey for a state visit.
The two are said to have discussed bilateral issues including trade.
Uhuru then flew to Turkey where he told leaders that Kenya is open for business and cooperation on international issues.
He held a closed door meeting with Turkey President Abdullah Gul before they oversaw the signing of nine bilateral agreements on trade and security.
Uhuru held talks with Turkey Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliament speaker Cemil Cicek.
Speaking during a press conference at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, Uhuru said: “We reached a consensus to work closely on security and defence.”
He said the threat of terrorism is not isolated but a worldwide challenge.
