The burnt-down Church building that became the BUILD-UP Church Building. An inspiring story. Part 3 of 3.
In the two previous parts of this story, we published that how God can turn to good, what was intended for evil. We told the story of a man filled with hatred and false ideology, burnt down church buildings out of his hatred for the Church, which he views as pagan. We shared the story of how Christians reached out to this man with the love of Christ.
Yesterday we received the exciting news that the burnt down Church building had become the BUILT-UP Church building. Standing in the gap with brothers and sisters in Christ in the midst of their persecution and suffering. Celebrating with them that they are not victims, but VICTORIOUS.
They Holy Spirit inspired to donate some funding for the rebuilding of the Church building, on behalf of the S4J (Sudan4Jesus) athletes group during our recent visit to South Sudan. This cannot possibly make up for your loss, fellow Sudanese in Christ, but it can go some way in symbolizing our taking hands with you in fulfilling the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 18 to 20) in the Sudans with you.
You remain both an inspiration and a beacon of hope to us and to the rest of the world in spite of all your challenges. You ARE overcomers, because of Jesus who said: "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
If anyone is inspired to partner with us in support of God's work by helping people, churches and ministries in the Sudans, here is a link to donate.
