The beautiful feet of LOUIS DU PREEZ -
his last run in photos
It was with such emotion that we heard yesterday morning that Louis du Preez passed away at about 2 am that morning. Sorrow, disbelief, speechless, shock, overwhelming, moving...these are a few words coming to mind.
Louis du Preez completed his last run during the 2014 Comrades marathon on 1 June. He is registered with the Magnolia Running Club and participated with runners from more than 40 clubs as part of the S4J group. The S4J is a group of runners that utilize their participation in the Comrades marathon to raise funds in support of God's work to help the people of the Sudans (Sudan and South Sudan). In this, Louis was one of the top 5 fundraisers out of the 108 athletes that were part of the S4J group this year.
What remains now is Louis' wife Annelie and their children, Louis' legacy and a pair of running shoes. Please pray for Annelie and their children. Many people prayed for Louis during the past week that he was in ICU.
Louis did not only run for his own glory, but to help the people of the Sudans, in particular those of Darfur. Here are some more info on the cause that Louis ran for. Page 1. Page 2.

14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10: 9 to 15
Louis, through your beautiful feet, many others will hear the good news of Jesus in the Sudans. Your legacy will remain long after you've gone on this eternal journey that every one of us will follow. The question is, will our legacy also outlast us?
